A Big Announcement

Hey,
yesterday came out our new sick video for our new single Electric Bongos and Popmatters premiered it on its website...you can watch it HERE!. Always from the wonderful director Andrea Zucchini (see some of his works on www.andreazucchini.tv).
In the last post we forgot to tell that the B-side "Icebergs" also features Randy Schrager, the drummer from Scissor Sisters....It was a great pleasure having him and Slam Donahue working with us in the studio on this song. We also can prove it with this video of Randy playing with the human cowbell.

10 days of NY

Hey,

we've just come back after 10 days in Ny where we played 2 shows and recorded 2 songs that will probably go in our next album. We had a great time with our producer Chuck Brody at Fireplace studio in Mahnattan rehearsing and recording.
We did a report of our trip but it's only italian language (sorry!!)....

a BIG news

So.....after a long time, we're really excited to announce the release date of our new single "You make me nervous"! July 26th it will be out on Reynolds Records (you can go and check their website for more infos).
This is a great news for us all!
This single will also contain a B side called "Desert Town"....

We're also planning some US shows for this August and making a video during these days....but news will follow.

talking about point of view

It was difficult to see LCD last show. They were a landmark for everyone inside the band and believe me it's difficult to have only one point of view inside a band...well LCD was the common point of view for us, and now the party is finished!

Well there's another great influence in our music...hope to see Gorillaz once in my life....

we're still alive...came back from NY and still in the mixing sessions.
Luca is working hard on new lgatp design and we're setting up a new live set.

We've so many things to say and so many things are changing, but we'd like to wait and see how everything will be. So....follow these news and see what happens next!

New Album New York - episode 3

This is Randy from Scissor Sisters playing some percussions for our next album here at Fireplace Studio. He's awesome. So Awesome that we ran out of drum stands, so we used Gabri to hold a cowbell. Good Gabri, get the job done.

Today New York offers a nice cozy freezy rain so we'll stay in studio recording more vocals and experimenting a bit. You don't want to go out with this weather though.

Tonight Hesta Prynn's performin at Webster Hall, we might show up there and have some fun, her rehearsal yesterday here was great.

Tonight we're gonna get some picture here on the roof of the studio (12th floor!). Hope NY seems beautiful as we see it right now.

Tomorrow (saturday) Renzo will play a show here at Cake Shop in NY with the band Slam Donahue that are looking for a drummer. They're pretty good guys playing great music....and Renzo is shitting his pants.

Lost and found

Second day here at Fireplace studio, 11th floor at 127, 25th west,Chelsea,Manhattan.

the day began with a weird email: hey it's jimena (our landlord here in East Village), this Greg guy called me saying he got Gabri's wallet."

Greg is in Brooklyn, we're in Chelsea close to the Empire State Building. In the pic, we show you the path we guess Gabri's wallet did to get to Greg's. Save a little prayer for him (Gabri, Greg's fine).

Three days in New York, wonder what could happen in one month...

Anyway, Renzo worked hard today, and you can see his plagues in that other pic, this is what happens when your producer is an american and your drummer is an italian. Cultures clash. And it's not over yet for today. Keep you posted on hand's health tomorrow. By the way, the drums are very groovy until now, we like that.

Late Guest at the Empire City

So here we are, at the 11th floor in a Chelsea building in undergoing renovation. It seems like the only thing still working here is our lovely Fireplace Studios, that's where we are at the moment.

First impact: workmen brought us up here with a freight, after we casually met our producer, Caleb, in the street holding those classic boiling coffee cup.

Two drums pattern already done, 4 super salad bowls, no beers yet (there's a whole fridge to fill up by the way, so that next posts will be more interesting maybe).

Jetlag killed our videomaker MotionPiadina, he's not in motion so much lately, so for today here you can get the only rare footage of our first day in studio.

Gabri is sick and the only words he said is "cough cough". Renzo, aka "Rensou", is silent and focused on milking the groove from a freaking 80's Yamaha drum set we chose, you'll see it's awesome. Davide found skelter on his Iphone playing lame games cause he discovered he suffers from vertigos.

Alex is in L.A., enjoying warmer temperatures and palms and his flip flops, fucker.
